Team Reports & Updates

Consequent to our last meeting on Sunday, March 09, 2008, the following teams (Ideabridge Review Panel, Inauguration/Program team) which were constituted to kick start the operations of IdeasBridge had been working assiduously to help us achieve our aims and have a smooth inauguration on Friday, 28th March, 2008.

We received a detailed report from the Review panel 48 hours after their commissioning, which has since been forwarded to the necessary quarters for ratification. The final documents will be made available to all.

The Inauguration/Programs team submitted the drafts of the Inauguration Program's Budget and the Program's structure. This is undergoing review as we have to fine tune the proposal to enable us have an itch-free launch.

Please be informed that the date for the launch of IdeasBridge may* change as we are working on bringing the likes of Emeka Anyaoku, Prof. Jide Oshuntokun and other notable dignitaries to add colour to the occasion. Your ideas to make this happen are always welcomed.

Our amiable team member and acting secretary, Lawyer Tade Ipadeola is currently working on the Corporate Affairs Commission registration of IdeasBridge as a recognised legal entity. Talks are on-going with Pastor Francis for the constitution of the board.

Ideas worth starting!!!

Welcome to the Future. It is not business as usual. Are you ready? Are you ready to enliven your imagination and let us create a new world together. Have you noticed that there is something about ideas. Something dangerous, something powerful, something incredibly powerful. Ideas rule the world, either the world we are used to or the ones we are about to create.
From the Dark ages to the Information age, our world has witnessed life-changing transformations spurred by nothing but ideas.

But, wait a minute, how can ideas rule the world? Are you asking or you are just waiting to finish reading this piece because waiting a while longer may be disastrous. Yes, positively disastrous as ‘idea people’ are itching to launch their next attack on our slumbering world, creating concepts that will change the way we live forever or at least for now, forcing us to move beyond our comfort zones mentally and sometimes physically.

Now and beyond this age, we will continue to celebrate people principally because of their ideas and legacy. From the early ages to the recent past, the world had celebrated men and women, young and old who gave in to their winning thoughts, gave up their conveniences and gave us something to enhance our living.

Their imagination permeates society, transforming business, law, government, education and every other parts of living. Just look around you and see the incredible activities of auto mobiles on the street. That was someone’s idea. Imagine flying heavy metal carrying heavy instruments and people, defying the law of gravity, over continents. That was someone’s idea defying someone else’s idea of the law of gravity. Have you been to the new eatery across the street? Wait a minute that is somebody’s idea too.

Everything we see and use in our modern world started as an idea in someone’s mind. I believe there are three types of people in the world; those who generate ideas, those who activate their ideas and those who do nothing with their minds, murdering possibilities and denying not only our present generation but also posterity of their creativity and resourcefulness.

There are many things that can make the world crawl or even stand still; an earthquake, an atomic bomb or a market crash but there are few things that make the world go round. An idea is one sure thing that guarantees global progress. Whether you are faced with overwhelming complexities or just short of resources, the solution to every challenge is an idea. What a great thing to seek the divine for. Anything and everything is possible if only one knows how.

Think about this for a moment, What if...? What if we can use our mobile phones to drive our cars? What if Nigerians relocate to the moon? What if microwaves can print documents? what if...? Come with us as we explore the power of ideas and the possibilities of making remarkable impact on humanity. Oh! you are a businessperson? Fantastic. Although you may not agree with me but I admire your astuteness if you will explore the fact that an idea is all you need to develop your business idea. An idea is all that is also necessary to market or distribute an idea. Whatever you have to do, from conception to development and deployment to management, always remember that an idea is what rules the world.
